As the weather warms up, there is nothing better than spending an evening listening to live music on a patio. While a live band or performers always elevates an occasion, it is not always easy to find the spots that offer the best live entertainment. We’ve done the work for you and have rounded up a list of the most fun places around town to go when you are ready to listen to some tunes.

The best part about the music scene in Scottsdale is that there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking for a hip place to dance, or just want to enjoy a fun cover band, the city has you covered.

Whiskey Row is located in Old Town Scottsdale and is one of the most well known bars in the area thanks to it’s famous country star owner and fun gastropub ambience. As you would expect, there is no shortage of live entertainment here. On Thursdays, starting at 8 pm you will be treated to music from local DJs. Fridays are for happy hour, and you can head over starting at 5 pm to listen to live acoustic bands. This prominent Old Town spot is always guaranteed to be a good time, and is a fun place to stop if you are looking for a little Nashville flair in the heart of Scottsdale.

Almost every night they offer live music, comedy shows, and more in this fun space.

If you are looking for a mellow live music experience, visit Center Stage Bar. One of the most stunning spots to watch the sunset is from this open air lounge and bar at the Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch Resort. The beautiful lobby features a comfortable sitting space where you can also gaze out at the lush desert landscaping and the McDowell Mountains in the distance. In the spring, the resort kicks back off their live music series, featuring a huge array of genres from folk tunes to acoustic guitar performances. The music starts at 6 pm every Tuesday through Saturday each week.

The best part is you do not have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy the Center Stage Bar experience. Make sure to arrive right at six to snag a good spot! Not only will you be able to enjoy twilight, you can unwind a glass of wine and soak in the music.

The format has changed a little for the upcoming year. To attend, you will have to reserve a space for $30. Each space can fit up to six people, and the overall event capacity will be limited to 750 people each week for the concert. Attendees are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket to relax in the park, and you are also welcome to bring your own picnic food from home. This is a fun low-key Sunday night activity that is the perfect way to finish out a summer weekend.
