Do You Need To Hire A Professional Stager?

Do You Need To Hire A Professional Stager?

  • When professionally staging is an option, it is the best choice. A professional stager is able to come into your home with their expert eye and make informed decisions based on their knowledge about the industry and what people like to see.

If professional staging is not an option for your home, that’s ok too! It’s still possible to stage your home on your own and with your own furniture.

Your mantra while in the staging process should become: less is more. Let that be your mindset while you work on staging your home.

The first rule of staging is to remove all personal belongings from all of the rooms. This includes taking down family photos, and personal mementos and storing them until you move to your next home. While buyers might be naturally curious about the lifestyle of the current homeowner, this distracts them from focusing on the details of the home itself.

Remember- the goal is to make it as easy as possible for someone to envision themself living there, and that becomes more difficult to do when there are family photos throughout the house. You want to keep the inside of your home neutral so that the next owner can come in and add their own creative flair.
