Make It Easy For A Buyer To Say Yes

Make It Easy For A Buyer To Say Yes

Prospective buyers face a lot of big decisions and uncertainty during the journey to find a new home, especially around financing and logistics

  • Anything you can do as the seller to make the two areas of financing and logistics easier is going to make your home much more desirable to potential buyers.

What does that look like?

It will vary by situation, but you want to present solutions to the challenges a home buyer might be facing. There are different clauses and contingency plans you can offer to allow a buyer to get financing in a timely manner in order to purchase your home, or you can structure a contingent sale that allows a buyer to sell their first home before closing on a new one.

When it comes down to it, buying and selling a home is also a business transaction. People prefer to do business with partners they like, so having a pleasant and easy-going demeanor in your negotiations or communications with the potential buyers will also make them feel more comfortable doing a deal together.

Buyers also face emotional obstacles with the home buying process, with everything from the concern of a deal falling through to the stress of actually moving. As a seller, you can mitigate all of these worries by marketing your home and the structure of the sale in a favorable manner.
