The Closing Process Requires Attention to Detail

The Closing Process Requires Attention to Detail

What’s the #1 thing to protect yourself against during the closing process?

  • Making sure you protect yourself from any loss of deposits!

The best way to do this is to become very focused on making sure you hit all the critical dates and deadlines. Once a sales contract has been established, then it’s time to hone in on all the little details.

If you know a deadline cannot be met, you need to go through the necessary process to secure written extensions or withdrawal forms

There are more parties involved with the process of a home closing than you would initially guess, so it involves a lot of coordination! A typical home closing requires: an attorney, title companies, insurance agents, mortgage lenders, inspectors, and both party’s Realtors! With all of the moving pieces and parts, it’s essential to stay super on top of all timelines to ensure everything stays on track.
