Make the most of the last night of the year by ringing in 2022 in style! Celebrating the new year in the Valley means you will get to enjoy fun festivities while basking in the warmer winter weather. There’s something to do for everyone, regardless of your preferred celebration style. Whether you want a quiet night in, a fancy dinner with family, or to hit the bar scene in town, there’s an opportunity for you to celebrate!
Book a Festive Dinner
If your ideal New Year’s Eve celebration is enjoying fun conversation, good wine, and amazing food with your friends and family, get ahead and book a reservation now for one of the many fabulous restaurants open on New Year’s Eve. The website GAYOT compiled a list of some of the best options around the Valley that would make great New Year’s destinations based off of their ambience, menus, and holiday specials.
Something to note is that many of the restaurants offer fixed price meals for the holiday evening, and some may have a more limited and curated menu than usual. Make sure to review before you go to ensure you know what food and specials will be served ahead of time!
Bourbon Steak Scottsdale is offering a chef Michael Mina-style New Year’s Eve celebration with a 3-course menu, including tuna tartare and wagyu beef. This special is only offered on New Year’s Eve, and will cost $125 a person to reserve.
If you want to dine somewhere scenic, book Different Pointe of View for your New Year’s Eve dinner. It’s one of our favorite romantic places to celebrate an occasion, and you might even see some fireworks from the restaurant, which is positioned 1800 feet above the Valley! The restaurant offers one of the Valley’s most unique dining experiences, and would be a fun place to get dressed up to enjoy regional American cuisine.
Celebrate Resort-Style
If you are visiting from out of town or want to do a staycation for the holiday weekend, many of the resorts also feature a lot of holiday activities knowing guests or locals may want to celebrate in style! Some of the resorts also have fixed price menus for a New Year’s Eve holiday meal, including the Royal Palms.
The Phoenician is a resort with an incredible New Year’s holiday line up. From 8-10 pm, they are having an 80s themed family friendly party in their ballroom with a DJ, games, surprise performances, a cash bar, and lots of sweet treats! There will be a sparkling toast right before the ball drops on the east coast, at 10 pm Phoenix time, so you don’t have to stay up until midnight if you aren’t feeling it!
If you stay at the Camelback Inn during New Year’s Eve weekend, you can participate in their New Year’s Eve Countdown event! They will have activities that delight everyone in your family, with a silent disco, glitter tattoo station, and a mocktail bar for those who aren’t 21! The best part is that they will be setting off an epic firework show at midnight to ring in 2022!
Buy Tickets to the Scottsdale Bar Crawl
If you want to dance the night away with friends, the Scottsdale New Year’s Bar Crawl is the right choice for you. This event takes place on Friday, December 31st and starts at 8 pm. You have the opportunity to visit eight different New Year’s parties in one night by participating in this bar hopping event! The best part is that all of the bars are fairly close together in Old Town, so you can enjoy bar hopping without having to deal with any rideshare cars.
When you purchase your ticket to the event, you get access to exclusive drink specials, a welcome shot at select venues, and a pub crawl map to all of the participating spots. This is an opportunity to dress up and break out your party clothes while having fun in Scottsdale’s premiere bar scene. The bar crawl tickets cost $30 for your all-access pass!
Mirrorball NYE Celebration
Spend the evening at Talking Stick Resort and join in the fun of their Mirrorball NYE Celebration. They are calling it “the Valley’s hottest entertainment destination for New Year’s Eve,” and you can expect a party you won’t forget! It costs $135 to purchase a general admission ticket to the event, and there will be two entertainment groups, 24k Magic, a Bruno Mars Tribute band, and Purple Reign, a Prince tribute show. With your general admission ticket you will get to participate in a champagne toast at midnight, a balloon drop as the clock turns to 2022, and fun party favors to take home to remember the special night.
New Year’s Eve Celebration with Leslie Odom, Jr. and The Phoenix Symphony
If you want to celebrate in a more low-key style, you can attend a performance hosted by the Phoenix Symphony on December 31st. The Phoenix Symphony will be accompanied by Leslie Odom Jr., one of the outstanding stars from the Broadway musical Hamilton at Symphony Hall at 7:30 pm on New Year’s Eve. This is a great way to enjoy live music and spend New Year’s Eve participating in a unique cultural event!
Buffalo Chip Saloon
If your idea of a perfect night out includes bull riding and having beers at an Old Western Saloon, spend your New Year’s Eve at Buffalo Chip Saloon this year! This beloved spot in Cave Creek is having a celebratory party from 8:00 pm – 2:00 am on December 31st. Starting at 8 pm they will have live music along with bull riding. It costs $20 to ride a bull, or $5 to try your hand at sheep riding!
