On a beautiful fall morning, what’s better than a long walk with your canine companion through one of Scottsdale’s most scenic gardens? The Desert Botanical Garden is hosting an ongoing event on Wednesday and Saturday mornings through November 20th called Dog Days at the Garden where you can bring your pup to enjoy walking through the botanical garden trails.

There is even dog-friendly seating at the outdoor patio at Gertrude’s Cafe if you would like to grab breakfast afterwards. There’s nothing quite as fun as being able to bring your dog with you out in the world, and there’s a good chance you’ll make friends with some other dog lovers! You do have to pay the price of general admission to attend this event. Dog Days at the Garden takes place from 8 am-11 am.

Canal Convergence is back at the Scottsdale Waterfront from November 5th-14th this year. This is a free event open to the public that is hosted by Scottsdale Public Art. The theme of the event for 2021 is “Art and Technology.”

Each year, the hosting organization of Canal Convergence picks a new theme, and all of the art presented during the event will fit under that theme idea. For 2021, all of the art will be centered around the elements of water, art, light, and sustainability. You can expect to see live music, workshops, talks hosted by some of the featured artists, and augmented reality experiences.

This is a great event to attend to show your support for the arts in Scottsdale! The event hours for Canal Convergence are from 6pm-10 pm most nights, making it a great opportunity to dine at one of the nearby Scottsdale Waterfront restaurants before you look at the art.
