How to Celebrate Valentines Day in Scottsdale

How to Celebrate Valentines Day in Scottsdale

It’s time to start thinking about the holiday of love: Valentine’s Day! This special day isn’t just for couples, and the holiday presents a festive opportunity to celebrate all the types of love in your life. Your celebration doesn’t just have to be confined to the 14th of February either- there are lots of fun activities happening all month long in the Valley to mark the occasion. From a romantic dinner experience, to learning how to make chocolate pastries, to relaxing at the spa, there are endless opportunities to celebrate this year!

Enjoy Odysea Aquarium’s ‘Craysea in Love’ Event

Crazy in love? Show them how much you care by surprising your date with two tickets to CraySea in Love, Odysea’s adults only Valentine’s Day night extravaganza. Your ticket includes admission to the aquarium and a seated dinner with dessert. Tickets cost $70 a person, and you can choose between three dinner seating times when you purchase tickets on their website. This is a great way to see the aquarium in a less crowded setting and plan a Valentine’s Day to remember!

Book a Romantic Resort Dinner for Two

A romantic luxury dinner for two is a Valentine’s Day mainstay for good reason. Add a twist this year by trying a restaurant you’ve never visited before!

If you need inspiration, consider trying CIELO at ADERO Scottsdale Resort near Fountain Hills. This restaurant won Open Table’s Diners’ Choice in 2022 for Phoenix, so you know it’s worth a visit to enjoy this fabulous dining experience at least once!

CIELO is offering their prix fixe dinner from February 11th-February 14th, so you can pick the date that works best for your personal Valentine’s Day celebration! They will be seating from 4 pm to 9 pm, and the preset menu costs $185 a person. If the weather is nice, ask to sit outside so you can admire the panoramic views of the Sonoran desert while you dine.

All the food will be handcrafted by Chef Chris Kight and the dinner will include six courses, including a chocolate journey dessert. Wine pairings can be added on for an additional $75 a person.

Enjoy a Valentine’s Day Festival With the Whole Family

If you want to include the whole family in your Valentine’s Day celebration, the Arizona Boardwalk is hosting their 3rd annual Family Fun Festival on Saturday, February 11th from 10 am to 2 pm.

This festival is catered towards activities your little ones will love, with everything from Valentine’s Day crafts, to bounce houses, to vendors selling fun local snacks. Stop by if you are in the area to take part in this fun for the whole family activity!

General admission is free, but if you register to attend the event there will be opportunities to win prizes to local attractions such as Butterfly Wonderland and Odessa Aquarium.

Plan a Staycation at Four Seasons Troon North

What’s more romantic than planning a staycation getaway at the picturesque Four Seasons Resort at Troon North? The resort is offering a variety of Valentine’s Day packages to help you celebrate the holiday.

If you and your loved one enjoy spa experiences, consider purchasing the “Love Me, Love Me Not” sixty minute couples massage, available at the resort spa the entire month of February. This relaxing treatment comes with two glasses of sparkling wine, a complimentary chocolate dessert following your spa experience, in addition to access to the spa amenities for the day. This Valentine’s Day spa package costs $520 per couple, with the option to add on additional treatments.

If you are more interested in the resort amenities, Four Seasons Troon North is also offering an Experience More package, which allows you to get a $100 credit for staying two consecutive nights during the month of February.

As a guest of the hotel you can participate in all of the resort’s weekly activities, including hikes, fitness classes, and craft beer tastings. You can also take advantage of the heated saltwater pool, perfect for a relaxing sunny winter day in the desert.

Book a Pastry Making Class

If your special somebody loves to bake, a pastry making class is the perfect hands-on date night activity! This is a great option for couples or friends of all ages and cooking skill levels.

Classic Cooking is offering a holiday themed Chocolate Valentine class, where participants will learn how to make chocolate truffles, chocolate lava cake, and chocolate dipped tuxedo strawberries over the course of two hours. Make sure to bring a to-go box with you so you can take home your chocolate masterpieces!

This class will be offered on February 11th from 10 am to 1 pm, and it costs $70 a person to attend. Not only will this be a memory you’ll treasure forever, but you’ll return home with recipe print outs so you can recreate your chocolate creations again and again!

Get Tickets to ‘Hearts and Howls’ for the Animal Lover

The Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center is offering an outdoor date night opportunity perfect for any animal lovers in the Valley! On February 17th and February 18th, ‘Hearts and Howls’ participants can tour the wildlife sanctuary, sip on sparkling cider, and learn more about romance in the animal world. Guests will get to take part in an intimate small group tour of the animal sanctuary, with a knowledgeable guide to answer all your questions.

Afterwards, each couple will be gifted a basket of Valentine’s Day themed goodies to share in the park. Tickets for this event cost $100 per couple, and it starts at 4:00 pm. Don’t forget to dress to be warm as this event takes place entirely outside. The best part? All event proceeds go back to feeding and caring for the animals at the conversation center, so this is a date night and an opportunity to support a good cause!

Attend a Valentine’s Charcuterie Workshop

Gather your gals for the ultimate Valentine’s Day charcuterie workshop class! Whether you are a cheese lover or have always wanted to learn how to make Instagram worthy charcuterie boards, this is your chance to learn from the experts at My Bella Tavola Charcuterie from 1 pm-2:30 pm on Saturday, February 11th.

This class will be hosted at Abundant Space in Scottsdale, at the intersection of Shea and Scottsdale Road. My Bella Tavola Charcuterie will be providing all the supplies needed including individual bamboo boards and instructions on how to arrange a fabulous board. Expect to build a board that is a variety of sweet and savory flavors, with artisanal meats and cheese, herbs, and some festive chocolate for the holiday!

Each participant will get to take home a board big enough to feed four people, and mocktails and beverages will be provided during the class. Tickets cost $85 a participant, so sign up now to snag your spot!
