Best Spas in Scottsdale

Best Spas in Scottsdale

Get ready for some pampering! One of the main draws of the Valley of the Sun is the laid-back, peaceful, easy-going atmosphere. Whether you are a full-time resident or you are on vacation, it is hard not to relax under the sunny desert skies. Along with the many luxury resorts, Scottsdale has become known as a prime spa destination, and offers some of the best spa experiences in the United States.

There is such a wide variety of choices, and you really cannot go wrong with any of these fabulous spots. We have put together a list of our favorite spas, guaranteed to deliver the rest and relaxation you deserve!

Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa

This gorgeous and secluded spot is tucked against Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale. The Sanctuary Spa offers “Asian-inspired renewal and rejuvenation” against a scenic backdrop. It is one of the more intimate spa experiences you can find in the Valley. They offer several signature spa experiences including a luxury facial, Sumatra coconut body ritual, and more. The best part? Once you are done with your spa treatment you can enjoy the spa’s Zen meditation garden outside.

Joya Spa at the Montelucia

The Joya Spa is all about providing the ultimate therapeutic experience. They offer the only authentic Hammam or Turkish bath in Arizona. This is a bathing ritual that is known to be deeply relaxing, and can be experienced alone or with a loved one.

When you arrive at the spa, you will be escorted into the “Joy of Intention” room, where you will select a healing stone and set your intention for your visit. The Joya Journey Coordinator will assist you with your meditation process, and will walk you through a purification room to help you relieve stress and negative energy.

Another perk of the Joya Spa is that you can purchase a day pass for full use of the spa amenities, including the rooftop pool, sauna and steam room. If you visit, do not forget to bring a bathing suit along for your spa appointment. Once you are done with your treatments, you can bask in the Arizona sunshine at one of their luxurious pools.

Reviewers cite this as being their favorite spa spot in the Paradise Valley area. The whole Montelucia resort offers Spanish-inspired luxury, and the spa is no different. A day trip to Joya will transport you to an exotic relaxation paradise.

New Serenity Spa

The resort spa scene in Scottsdale can get pricey, as you are paying more for the exclusive and upscale ambience. If you are looking for a more affordable option, check out the New Serenity Spa in Scottsdale.

This Hayden Road spot offers a robust menu of massages, facials, and skin care treatments. They even were named one year as the best day spa in Scottsdale by USA TODAY. As an added bonus, they have recently expanded their spa offerings to include a men’s spa menu, making this the perfect spot for a couple’s retreat.

You can even book a three-hour bachelorette party package, which includes facials, massages, and refreshments for the bridal party. This is the perfect spot if you are looking for a high quality but lower cost spa experience.

Well & Being at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

Arguably one of the most upscale spas in town, Well & Being offers a truly top-of-the-line spa experience. The spa does an incredible job of bringing the outdoors inside, with lots of greenery and sparkling pools.

The spa was carefully designed to pay homage to the Arizona landscape, and more specifically Havasupai in the Grand Canyon. As you relax at Well & Being, try to notice how they have artfully incorporated all four of the elements- earth, wind, fire, and water in the architectural design.

This spa is adults-only as well, to ensure a truly relaxing ambiance. Well & Being aims to offer an all-encompassing “wellness experience,” and the spa also includes aerial yoga and aromatherapy massages.

A pro tip is to visit during the months of June-September, which is the off-peak season in Scottsdale. You might be able to snag a better rate or a special during this time to make Well & Being a little more affordable! As a plus, you’ll enjoy a less crowded and more intimate spa experience as well.

Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North Spa

The Four Seasons at Troon Spa has the tagline “desert romance meets outdoor adventure.” Set against the backdrop of saguaro cacti and Pinnacle Peak mountain, the spa offers a private desert escape in the northern part of the city.

The Four Seasons takes great care to incorporate natural and local ingredients into their spa menu and treatments. Some of the local ingredients they use include jojoba oil and prickly pear, which both have known therapeutic properties. They offer a range of healing massages, body therapies and other enhancement treatments. You can even call to arrange a personalized treatment or experience based on your specialized needs.

If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind treatment, try the eighty-minute “Four Seasons in One.” This is “a sensory journey through all four seasons,” and includes several different massage techniques.

Alvadora Spa at Royal Palms Resort

This is a small and cozy spot tucked a few minutes away from Old Town Scottsdale. The Royal Palm Resort was originally built in the 1920s to be a wellness retreat and continues to live up to that promise today. There is restoration and relaxation to be found in every corner of this spa, from the heated Jacuzzi tub to a variety of custom facials.

For some extra R&R, their menu also includes a list of additional facial therapy services you can enjoy including a hydrating scalp treatment or derma flash. Their most famous treatment is the “Spa Dehp.” This is a completely unique spa technique involving essential oils, a custom massage, and other bodywork.

While the grounds of the resort may not be as extensive as some of the others, you can enjoy a more laid-back romantic experience at this spa and resort.

La Vidorra Spa at the Scott

La Vidorra’s mission is to treat you to a revitalizing and tranquil experience. You can pick from a list of massage and body treatments, with their stand-out massage being the La Vidorra Custom Massage.

The Scott offers one of the trendiest resort atmospheres in the Scottsdale area. This is an ideal spa destination for a girl’s trip or bachelorette party stay.

When you book your spa treatment, make sure your schedule allows some time to enjoy the other amenities included with the experience. When you visit, you can enjoy the fitness center and resort pools.

With so many incredible spas to choose from, it can almost be difficult to just pick one! For a true spa connoisseur, try scheduling a treatment at a different spa each day in order to get the full experience. Or better yet, plan another trip so you can visit them all!
