Every night until September 10th you can finish your day out at the Desert Botanical Garden with their Sonoran Sippin’ event. It costs $14.95 for adults to attend, and this event takes place every day from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. It is a great way to enjoy the sunset and some of the cooler hours of the day in one of the most scenic spots in the Valley!

Upon arriving, you will be offered a welcome cocktail that you can then sip as you stroll through the desert botanical gardens. During the Sonoran Sippin’ event there will also be live musical performances and DJs on different nights to really set a festive atmosphere. This would be a great place to enjoy a happy hour with friends after work!

Calling all fans of The Bachelorette! If you have been loving watching this season of The Bachelorette and are looking for a fun place to watch with other devoted fans, go to Kelly’s At Southbridge on Monday nights moving forward.

Every Monday night from 7 pm to 9 pm, Kelly’s in Old Town Scottsdale turns their TVs to ABC and watches the drama unfold on the big screen together. If you have a large group of friends who already enjoy watching the show together, you can reserve one of the private rooms in advance to accommodate your whole party.

They also offer a special “bubbles + bruschetta” deal while the show is on, which includes a complimentary $20 bottle of wine when you purchase a bruschetta board. It’s the perfect way to meet new people with similar interests, enjoy good food, and beat the heat.

The best place to be on a really hot day in Scottsdale is somewhere indoors with good air conditioning – like the Desert Stages Theater! They have three showings of the play A Chorus Line over the weekend of August 7th and 8th, at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm each day.

This is a great way to support artists in the community and see a one-of-a-kind local production of A Chorus Line. The Desert Stages Theatre says: “This is the story of the unsung heroes of the American Musical Theatre- the chorus dancers- those valiant, over dedicated, unpaid, highly trained performers who back up the stars.”

If you miss that play this upcoming weekend, they have a robust calendar of events for the next few months. They will be performing Madagascar Jr., a great play to take your kids to see at the end of August.

If your ideal weekend includes sun bathing, pool time, and listening to fun music, you need to plan a Saturday outing to attend Swim Meet, the poolside party at The Saguaro resort.

The Saguaro resort turns their pool into the pool party destination of the summer from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm every Saturday during the month of August. In order to secure a spot, you must book a daybed or cabana during that time. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a resort pool experience without having to pay for a hotel room.

In addition to the fun poolside setting, they will have a local DJ spinning tunes each weekend. There will be signature cocktails and lots of food and drink specials as well. This is the perfect way to celebrate the last true month of summer!
